A single tear

Posted by Shelly on March 21, 2013

A single tear runs down my cheek

Telling me my fight is weak

The emotional relieve I seek

Not looking as if it’s quite so bleak

My mind wandering full of thought

Will I learn from all you’ve taught?

Will I appreciate all I’ve got?

Will I fight for what you fought?

Does the sun rise where you are?

Are you really not that far?

Are you in that shooting star?

Are you with me in the car?

These questions haunt me as I sit

These are the things I will admit

In my belly, in the pit

These are things I don’t get

I want to believe, I truly do

When my days on earth are through

I will see that light shining too

And in that light will be standing you
